Welcome! My name is Pete MacDonald (AKA East Coast Pete). I grew up in Nova Scotia, a place with amazing culture, and a hotbed for great music. I remember being at family gatherings when I was young, and hearing my mom, my dad, and all of my aunts and uncles singing incredible harmonies. These are some of my first memories, and my introduction to a key part of our East Coast culture - the "Kitchen Party". I currently reside in Victoria BC, where in addition to my own solo shows, I perform as guitarist and background vocalist for Jesse Roper.

I have been performing for over 20 years in just about every setting you can imagine: Pubs, Bars, Cruise Ships, Convention Centers, Outdoor Festivals, Weddings, Living Rooms - you name it, I've been there.. guitar in hand. My repertoire of popular songs includes a wide variety of styles and genres, reflective of the diverse range of audiences I've had the pleasure to stand in front of.  I am very tuned-in to different crowds and settings: Whether the occasion warrants some tasteful background sounds, or a full blown dance party, my experience ensures that the energy and music will be perfect.

My true expertise lies in creating a fun, easy going atmosphere where people feel like they are amongst friends. I am a creator of energy, but also a receiver. Facilitating this exchange between myself and the audience is my goal; and I strive to make every show an experience that everyone is a part of.
